It runs on six D batteries, making the gun a bit heavy, something that is compensated for with a pop-out bipod. The toy also includes a removable shield and three clips of 18 darts each. There is a jam clearing door and a ready indicator to ensure that this toy fires consistently without interruption.
Although the gun is a bit pricier than its non-battery operating Nerf brethren, the Stampede Blaster provides a new level of entertainment for the Nerf family. The extra price is well worth the hours of fun that this toy will most certainly provide.
