Wall Street Money Never SleepsThe film “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” will be released today, and is expected to be one of the best movies of the year. This marks director Oliver Stone’s first sequel, for which he used a $70 million filming budget. The new film stars Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf, and is a story of greed, love, and the stock market. Gordon Gekko (Douglas) has just been released from prison and wants to reconcile differences with his daughter. His daughter’s fiance, a young stock trader named Jacob (LaBeouf), goes to Gekko in order to get revenge on the person who was involved with his former mentor’s death.

Director Stone wanted the movie to be as true to real life as possible and as a result, he filmed this movie at the Federal Reserve Building where many of the 2008 crash discussions were held by stock traders. The original “Wall Street” was released in 1987 and also starred Michael Douglas.
